Uplifting indigenous knowledge systems while assisting people and organisations to realise their full potential.
Kia Ora, Kia Orana,

Welcome to 'Ei Moana
We are 'Ei Moana, a dynamic team of leaders and facilitators rooted in the ancient practices of indigenous knowledge.
Founded in 2023 by Masters of Applied Indigenous Knowledge, Repeka and Jennings George-Koteka, we bring over two decades of experience in Community Development, Ministry of Justice, Cultural Report Writing, Systems Change, Strategy, and more. Our journey is shaped by the wisdom of the Moana, reflecting a profound commitment to indigenous knowledge systems.
Our primary focus is on implementing these models to address social and economic challenges, emphasising equity for Māori and Pacific people. Through our expertise, we aim to assist individuals and organisations in realising their full potential.
Our Mission
Our purpose is to support communities in which both individuals and organisations understand their significance and role within a larger context. To support them in seeing opportunities amid challenging times. Clarity and self-awareness are supported for our clients.
As part of a relational vā, we stand united with indigenous business networks, practicing the 17 Habits of a Valued Treaty Partner.
”
Tōku reo,
Tōku ‘akaara’anga
Tōku reo, tōku rakei ora
Tōku reo, Tōku manava
My language is my awakening in this bright world,
My language is my living adornment
My language is my heart
My culture can only survive if I maintain my language (Jonassen et al., 2023, p. 105).

‘Ei Moana acknowledges the oceanic relations between Māori and Pacific navigators. As Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners we practice these 17 habits to honour and role model positive Treaty partner relationships with Māori.
These habits 17-Habits-of-a-Valued-Treaty-Partner were written by Faumuina Felolini Maria Tafuna’i for the Values Compass of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, with input from the Kāhui Māori.
